Why Wings Within?
Wings Within is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, offer hands-on learning, increase representation in aviation, strengthen STEM engagement, connect students with real pilots, and inspire long-term interest in aerospace. Many students describe their first flight as a truly “life-changing moment.”
STEM Aviation Workshops
Interactive sessions cover the basics of flight, weather and aerodynamics, aircraft instruments, navigation, and careers in aviation. The program is designed for elementary, middle, and high school students.
Guest Speakers
Women pilots, CFIs, engineers, and aviation leaders share their personal journeys, what a pilot’s life is like, how to start flying, and the importance of aviation safety and teamwork. Representation matters—students discover that “people like me can fly too.”
Aviation Career Panels
We help students discover pathways into pilot careers, air traffic control, engineering, aviation management, airport operations, aerospace, drones, and emerging technologies—showing them that aviation is far more than just flying airplanes.
